After the passing of Skywalker and a month of Becky crying everyday, I knew it was time to look for another stallion to take her mind off of her loss. With persistence, I got Becky to go for the weekend to southern Missouri to look at a black colt. There was no connection with the black, but she offered to buy his dam, Top Queen's Laura. She was not available at the time but we were able to purchase her a couple years later.

When we was leaving the farm, I told Becky that I had found a bay Windover Regency grandson we could go look at, in Montreal MO. She has always admired Regency and although she was wanting a black, she agreed. It was Missouri Morgans' first colt, named Missouri's Boogie Pepper. For me the big bay colt was love at first sight. I saw Becky really putting the eye to him and then that look of sadness came back and her words were, "I will think about it...". We spent the rest of the weekend at my folks' place on the lake. On Sunday- the day to head back home- I called Jim to see if we could come look at Boogie again, and we ended up making the purchase.

Boogie has been more than we imagined. He has spoiled us as much as we have him. Boogie's debut in the show world was also ours, and we were lucky! Boogie was undefeated as a 2 year old and as a 3 year old he was champion 10X, regional grand champion and 4th at the Grand Nationals in the English pleasure division.

Besides his presence in the ring, Boogie has the greatest disposition, conformation and is 16 hands of handsome. In Boogie's 4 year old season he placed in the top ribbons too and then we decided it was time for him to come home from the trainers to be the family horse he was meant to be and start his breeding career.
